Description
A meter bridge, also known as a slide wire bridge, is a practical application of the Wheatstone bridge circuit used to determine the unknown resistance of a conductor. It consists of a one-meter-long wire of uniform cross-section, typically made of manganin or constantan, mounted on a wooden board. The device is used to balance the bridge and find the unknown resistance by sliding a jockey along the wire to find the null point.
