Description
A sonometer, also known as a monochord, is a physics lab instrument used to study the relationship between the frequency of a vibrating string and its tension, length, and mass per unit length. It consists of a one-meter long, hollow rectangular wooden box with a string stretched over it. The string is attached to a hook at one end and a pulley with a weight hanger at the other.
